Backend to power the Second Screen

Backend to power the Second Screen
In this project, we helped Magic Ruby create a real-time backend to support the synchronization of audio and video content on a mobile device with a broadcast or cable TV show.

Description

Providing architectural guidance, we designed a solution scalable to tens of thousands of users. To support in-app purchases from second screen mobile apps, we designed a platform-agnostic commerce engine. We provided an infrastructure capable of consuming a real-time tweet stream for rendering heatmap activity related to the TV show trends. And finally we topped the project off with a good dose of analytics, using crash and user analytics as input to business intelligence and decision making.
